Douibyorthst (pronounced dweeb-yorthst, or using these symbols: duɪəb-ʊəɒrðst) is a project formed in 2020 by producer Daniel Sanford that focuses on indie house and upbeat party music. Infectious ear-worm melodies and driving beats power songs that are pulled together with robot vocals featuring sparse poetry about connection, destruction, harmony and discordance. The debut album "Activation" represents the formation of the new project and the genesis of the style Daniel Sanford has been honing in his work across a variety of genres for the last 20 years of toiling in obscurity. His follow up release was a collection of rarities and one-off musical projects called "Hotdog.jpg & Other Fine Musics" and he made his indie label debut in 2021 with the synthwave/acid house hybrid album "Synthetic Acid." The most recent project is an 82 minute opus touring through a fantasy setting known as "Bewitching Tones." In 2005 he co-founded Beardology Records, a now semi-defunct net label to release his music and the music of his friends, and he has been DJing house parties, clubs, and events for over a decade. His influences include: Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, MSTRKRFT, CHVRCHES, Digitalism, Underworld, Blondie, Erasure, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, New Order, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, and Luke Vibert.
